Our School of Media, Art & Design is where creativity is defined. We offer an array of programs for students to explore their passion for the arts, creative design, and a creative approach to business in programs such as Tourism, Advertising, Music Theatre and Media Convergence. Our programs provide real-world working experiences as part of the curriculum in our on-campus theatre, fashion labs, broadcast studios, event centre and high-end restaurant.
The one-of-a-kind MediaPlex is a unique building featuring a large studio, radio, and video editing suites as well as a real-world central news station. In addition to our Journalism, Public Relations, and Media Convergence programs, the Tourism & Travel program is also located in the MediaPlex. This program offers students a wonderful work/ study opportunity with the Disney College at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
With a vision to create a learning environment that would benefit students in the Culinary Management and Hospitality Management programs, St. Clair College raised the bar by creating a high-end restaurant environment with high standards in every aspect of customer satisfaction. Eatery 101 provides unique signature dishes in a state-of-the-art kitchen that is operated by our students and supervised by our Red Seal Chef. The St. Clair Centre for the Arts boasts a fully operational theatre: the multiple events and conference rooms are historically fully booked with special events and weddings. Students run Eatery 101, St. Clair Centre for the Arts, and the MediaPlex with guidance from our experienced faculty.
The St. Clair Centre for the Arts and the MediaPlex are part of the College’s Downtown Campus and steps from the riverfront walking trails. This campus is home to our Music Theatre Performance program and our 1,200 seat Chrysler Theatre. Students attending classes at our Downtown Campus have access to the TD Student Success Centre with open labs, study rooms, common areas, kitchen, and TV lounge.
Our 1,200 seat Chrysler Theatre is where our students in the Music Theatre Performance program practice and perform several musicals throughout the year.
